Ceci Connolly is a nationally recognized journalist, who covered breaking news on U.S. politics, health care, and major disasters for the Washington Post for over a decade. On Tuesday, March 29th, Ms. Connolly will make her AIMS debut, when she does her very own news segment, “A Reporter’s Perspective: Healthcare and the Media,” at the 8th Annual AIMS Conference. Ms. Connolly will discuss media advocacy in light of healthcare reform.

Ceci Connolly, a senior advisor at McKinsey Center for Health Reform, an independent economic research group, focuses her work on high-quality and affordable healthcare solutions. Prior to joining McKinsey & Co., Ms. Connolly was the health policy reporter for the Washington Post. While at the Post, she chronicled enactment President Obama’s Affordable Care Act and went on to be the lead author of “Landmark: The Inside Story of America’s New Health-Care Law and What It Means for Us All.”

Ms. Connolly regularly appears on major news programs such as “Fox News Sunday,” “PBS News Hour,” “The Early Show” on CBS, and NPR’s “To the Point.” In 2001, she was awarded a fellowship at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
